I am going to a Family Reunion tomorrow here in NJ. Use to be the Sullivan's and now it is the Sullivan/Klega Reunion, and I am going to add some sugar to these and use a "mini" biscuit" cutter like they taught me when we were station in King's Bay, Georgia, and make some mini Strawberry Shortcakes. I remember my Mama made those a time or two for us kids and they were good. Although I believe she may have cheated and used Bisquick (because that was all the rage back then😉). Thanks for reposting, as I lost my recipe from Buttermilk Biscuit recipe from Georgia.

Hi Hilary! I had to share my Cape Cod/Nantucket experience with you as you helped inspire us to stop talking about it and just GO! The day we were on Nantucket we passed by the Mitchell’s Book Corner book store and noticed that they were featuring my favorite summer book author Elin Hilderbrand who bases her stories on Nantucket. I noticed that the book featured “Swan Song” is her last to be written of the island. As a frugal person I kept walking but couldn’t stop thinking that the book would make a nice souvenir of our trip there. On our way back I decided to get it and I realized it was a special Nantucket edition with Elin’s signature! After paying, I turned around and noticed a blond woman coming through the door carrying a box of books and I thought to myself that she looked VERY familiar. As I passed her and went outside to my husband, he said to me “isn’t that the author of the book you just bought?!” 😳 I couldn’t believe he recognized her and I didn’t!!🤪 Though you might enjoy this story and thanks for the inspiration to go!!

Awww happy birthday Jude! I started watching you right before you had him and I was pregnant myself. I was so ecstatic when you said his name was Jude because I LOVE that name (but didn’t end up using it for my son). Also, I absolutely love the little downtowns you always show. They have such beautiful character and foliage (I’m in the desert lol). The new mug is a great replacement for your broken favorite one!

I’ve watched your videos for around 5 years but this is my first comment. 😊 We live in IN but just got back from a trip to the northeastern U.S. Your past Nantucket vlogs really inspired me to go there and it was at the top of my list. I visited some of the same places you did, like the Hospital thrift store. My teenagers and I had a lot of fun there. Anyway, I have a book recommendation. I know you usually like mysteries, but have you read any of Elin Hilderbrand’s books? The two I’ve read (Hotel Nantucket was one), both take place in Nantucket and she references many real locations on the island. Besides your vlogs, they’re the other reason I wanted to go there. Maybe you’d like them too! Thank you for always making wonderful videos!

I just loved this video and your lovely family party for Jude’s third birthday. How wonderful that his sister made his birthday cake. I watched another RUclipsr prepare for her sons birthday and the money she must have spent on a ballon arch, personalised backdrop for photos and many various decorations. Each to their own of course but your son’s birthday party looked such a wonderful family afternoon. It reminded me of the birthday parties we had for our daughters many years ago now. It’s hard to believe your kids are as old as they are now . Great video . We have had some heavy rain here in Ky too . I hung some pool towels out to dry on my deck because they dry much faster out in this heat than in my dryer . And I ran to the store and didn’t realize it was supposed to rain and when I got home they were soaked . So frustrating. Thanks for sharing .
